It's a small item, but it's the first real look at how Amorim wants his Milan to play. A week of drills on the training ground only tells you so much. The head coach needs bodies moving at match tempo to see whether his ideas hold up, and with the pre-season proper still weeks away, the Futuro side is the closest thing available.
The first team and the B-team, now under Sergio Navarro, have been working separately since returning to Milanello. Whether Amorim keeps it strictly first team against Futuro or mixes the groups to keep the game competitive is still open, though facing the reserves in this window has become a familiar routine for the club. For the younger players it's the kind of afternoon that can put them on a new manager's radar.
