Ruben Amorim used the friendly against Celtic to start assessing a group of young players whose futures he will decide over preseason, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

He is still returning from a muscle injury, so he is some way from his best. Milan signed him from Verona for around €10m last winter and left him on loan at Catanzaro, where he managed 6 goals and 1 assist in Serie B.
Aurélien Guernier, a creative attacking midfielder signed from Birmingham City, also caught the eye, involved in the move that led to one of Camarda's shots. Silvano Vos was more anonymous.
Wearing Mario Balotelli's old No.45, Emanuele Borsani replaced Davide Bartesaghi on the left and played without hesitation. A winger by trade, he covered at wing-back and full-back last season, and he offers pace and clean technique.
Lorenzo Ossola lined up alongside Ruben Loftus-Cheek behind the striker in the first half and looked understandably shy and short of rhythm. The left-footer models his game on Fernando Redondo's Real Madrid years and will get another opportunity.
With Mario Gila injured, Amorim handed a chance to Valeri Vladimirov, a Bulgarian centre-back born in 2008. At 1.90m he is strong in the air and controlled the game without fear, and he may feature again on tour.
In goal, Lorenzo Torriani was punished for stray passes from Strahinja Pavlović and Ricci on both Celtic goals, but then produced a fine save to deny McCowan's free-kick. He is in a three-way fight with Matteo Pittarella and Leo Paul Bouyer for a place in the senior group.
