Gila ruled out of Milan-Inter as Ramos and Leão arrive in good shape

Mario Gila will miss Wednesday's friendly against Inter as he continues to recover from the muscle strain picked up against Celtic, while Goncalo Ramos and Rafael Leão have both reported for the game in good condition.

The Derby della Madonnina in Perth is the next stop on Milan's pre-season, and it comes with added weight: the Rossoneri will pay tribute to Franco Baresi, who passed away on Friday. That backdrop makes the availability picture worth tracking before kick-off.

Gila is still working his way back from the injury sustained in the Celtic friendly and is not an option for the derby. Samuele Ricci is also short of full fitness, having been dealing with tonsillitis over recent days.

The better news is up front. Ramos and Leão linked up with the squad earlier this week and arrived in good shape, to the point that Amorim has no concerns about handing them minutes against Inter. Leão's involvement may be managed carefully, though, given the ongoing mercato situation around him.

Christopher Nkunku rounds off the update on a positive note, back in full training after the knock that ruled him out of the trip to Glasgow.

With three forwards fit and the derby doubling as a Baresi tribute, the team news falls to Amorim and how much he wants to risk his attacking options in Perth.
