Goncalo Ramos left isolated at Milan as Corriere dello Sport highlights lack of creative support

Goncalo Ramos has managed one goal in five appearances since his €75m move to Milan, and according to Corriere dello Sport, the problem is not the striker himself but the service around him.

The Portuguese forward has gone three consecutive games without registering a single shot on target. For a No.9 signed at that price, the early returns look thin. But the numbers beneath the surface tell a slightly different story, one that points more to system than to the man leading the line.

Corriere dello Sport describes Ramos as "alone," arguing that the squad has not given him the support he needs to be effective. The raw involvement is there: 195 touches across his five outings, 24 of them inside the box, producing 17 shots but only four on target. Compare that to other Serie A strikers and a pattern emerges. Ramos has registered more touches than the likes of Randal Kolo Muani, Donyell Malen, Sebastiano Esposito and Christos Douvikas, yet he has taken fewer shots than all of them bar Juventus' Kolo Muani. He is seeing the ball often enough but not in positions or situations that turn possession into genuine chances.

The finger, according to Corriere, points at the broader attacking structure under Ruben Amorim. The team is not creating enough quality opportunities for Ramos to convert, and the constant rotation of the two attacking midfield spots behind him has denied him a settled partnership. Without a fixed duo feeding him, his movement has lacked a reliable connection.

Amorim faces the Lecce fixture with pressure building to find a combination that works. Ramos needs to produce, but a €75m centre-forward cannot function as a one-man attack indefinitely. The next step belongs to the coach: settle the players around him, and the goals should follow.
