Rafael Leão has publicly rejected reports that he is a source of negativity inside the Milan dressing room, replying directly to a post relaying the claim.
The story stems from Gazzetta dello Sport, who reported this morning that Ruben Amorim wanted to sell Leão for technical and tactical reasons above all, but that the Portuguese was also viewed as a "source of negativity" within the squad environment.
That claim was picked up on X by the account DeadlineDayLive, whose post read: "Ruben Amorim views Rafael Leão as a negative influence within the AC Milan dressing room. The Portuguese coach is believed to have concerns over the winger's impact on the squad environment."
Leão answered directly: "Maybe you're because you lying 😂😂😂." It was his first interaction on the platform since June.
He is no stranger to this kind of exchange, having traded barbs with Antonio Cassano more than once in recent years. A public denial from the player himself does little to settle a story that touches on his standing with the coach.
Where this leaves the relationship between Leão and Amorim is now the question, and only the two of them can answer it.
