Samuele Ricci is closing in on a move to Como, with Milan and the Lombardy club already aligned on a loan with an option to buy, and only a handful of club-to-club details left to settle.
The exit fits the direction of Milan's window. After announcing Diego Moreira last night and adding Gonçalo Ramos, Mario Gila and Sankhoun Diawara, the focus has turned to trimming an overloaded squad and bringing money back in. Ricci, one year on from his arrival, is among the names Amorim does not see as central to his plans in a congested midfield.
The framework is set. Ricci has agreed personal terms with Como, so wages are not the obstacle, and the deal between the clubs is structured as a loan with an option to buy. Como are reported to have all but wrapped up the signing, with the only likely knock-on being the sale of Maxence Caqueret to free up the space.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Ricci has settled personal terms and that, while some details between Como and Milan still need resolving, the transfer is expected to be completed shortly.
That would bring Ricci's Milan spell to an end after a single season, a quick turn given the enthusiasm around his signing from Torino in the 2025 summer window. The structure of the deal, a loan rather than an outright sale, means Milan are not fully cashing in yet, but it clears a wage and a body from a midfield that had too many of both.
The particulars between the two clubs are all that stand between Ricci and Cesc Fàbregas' Como, and both sides expect them settled soon.
