Milan have been offered Borussia Dortmund defender Luca Reggiani, with contacts underway in the closing days of the window, according to Matteo Moretto.
The Rossoneri spent around €30m including bonuses to sign Mario Gila from Lazio at the start of the summer, but the intent to bring in a second centre-back has never gone away, with Goncalo Inacio among the names previously linked. Reggiani is the latest option to land on the desk.
Writing on X, Moretto detailed the state of play. "In the last few hours, there have been contacts for Luca Reggiani at Milan," he said. "The Borussia Dortmund defender has been offered to the Rossoneri club."
Reggiani is 18 and joined Dortmund from Sassuolo two years ago. He has made 8 Bundesliga appearances for the first team, scoring once, and has already been called up to the senior Italian national side, a marker of how highly he is rated for his age.
No fee, contract terms or timeline were disclosed, and the framing here matters: this is a player offered to Milan rather than one they have gone chasing. That distinction shapes how seriously to take it in the final days of the window.
There is also the question of fit. Milan are not short of young options at the back, having brought in Sankoun Diawara from Troyes a few weeks ago and sent David Odogu on loan to Toulouse. Adding another teenage centre-back to that group would need a clear plan behind it.
From here, it is on Milan's recruitment staff to decide whether Reggiani is worth pursuing before the window shuts, or whether the priority remains a more senior partner for Gila.
