Diego Moreira is in line for his first Milan appearance against Venezia on Friday after watching the opening win over Torino from the bench, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The €45m plus bonuses arrival from Strasbourg had only signed and trained a couple of days before the Torino game, so his inclusion in the squad hinted at how quickly Amorim wants him involved. A full week on the training ground now gives the 22-year-old his first proper run at the coach's principles.
The most likely scenario at San Siro is that Moreira does not start, but gets minutes off the bench. He watched the Torino victory in full, and the plan is to ease him in rather than throw him straight into the XI while he is still learning the system.
The interesting detail is where Amorim intends to use him. Despite spending most of last season as a right winger, Moreira is expected to feature as a wing-back, with the coach convinced he can operate on either flank.
