Romano: Galatasaray target Fofana loan after Leao deal as Milan open to exit

Youssouf Fofana could follow Rafael Leao to Galatasaray, with Milan open to sanctioning a loan departure for the midfielder.

Fofana is one of four players isolated in the club's bomb squad this season alongside Christopher Nkunku, Santiago Gimenez and Fikayo Tomori. With Nkunku already moved on, the Rossoneri are working to offload the remaining outcasts.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray asked for information on Fofana during the Leao negotiations. The Turkish side were solely focused on securing the forward at the time, but with Leao now in Turkey to complete his transfer, the matter can be revisited.

Romano reports that Fofana would like to join the club and that Milan are willing to let him leave on loan. The Turkish transfer window closes later than most, meaning there is no immediate urgency to finalise the details.

From here, it is up to Galatasaray to formalise their offer and for Milan to agree the structure of the temporary exit.
