Milan have added Jack Grealish to their list of attacking targets in the closing days of the window, according to Football Insider.
With less than a week left before the mercato shuts, Ruben Amorim is pushing for another attacking midfielder, and the search has run through a long list of names, from Brahim Díaz and Matías Soulé to Ethan Nwaneri and, most recently, Fer López. Grealish is the latest to join that shortlist, and his arrival is tied to a departure at the other end.
The England international is framed as a replacement for Rafael Leão, who could return to former club Aston Villa in the final days of the market. That link is what makes the Grealish move plausible rather than opportunistic: if Leão goes, Milan need a left-sided attacker with creativity, and City's out-of-favour man fits the profile.
Football Insider report that Grealish is a target for the Rossoneri management, with Everton having cooled their interest in a permanent return. The key condition on the Milan side is money. The report states that Milan will need the fee to come in under £10m to make a deal work, even after already spending €150m this summer on Gonçalo Ramos, Mario Gila and Diego Moreira.
Grealish's situation at the Etihad tells its own story. He came off the bench for 14 minutes in City's 2-1 comeback win over Bournemouth at the weekend, but a starting role under Enzo Maresca looks a long way off. The report adds that David Moyes was left unimpressed with Grealish's off-field antics while he sat out. Across his international career, Grealish has 4 goals in 39 caps for England.
